How to find out the type of internet connection?

I am an Xfinity wifi customer, trying to set up a mesh wifi network at home but need to input the details about the type of internet connection (e.g. Dynamic IP, static IP, PPPoE, L2TP, PPTP, DS-Lite), and input the settings associated. How do I find out this information? Unable to reach an Xfinity agent, the online assistant is useless, and I can't find the info in my online account.

Thanks!

Use "dynamic IP".

If you get the xFi Pods (the generation 2 with built in 2-port Ethernet) you can make your own mesh.. don't need to know connection type.  It probably is dynamic but it sounds like you are trying to integrate mesh 3rd party with existing comcast equipment..

In order for this to work well you need to buy a separate modem or a mesh router from the start which are expensive 500-700 bucks for good one.

If you rent the XB7 it's all in one works well I have it, and 2 xFi Pods.. 3100 SQ ft house works well, get 500 Mbps all around and a few feet outside my home.

I have Extreme Pro plan (800 Mbps) just so you know..
