How to disable WiFi completely?

I’ve disabled both Wi-Fi bands on my Xfinity Arris XB6 router. I've also turned off the Xfinity hotspot feature via the app. However my radio frequency detector is showing a lot of RF output coming from the router. How do I completely shut off all wifi signals? An agent reccomended I use Bridge Mode but I've read that it still broadcasts some hidden networks. Is this so? I want wi-fi only coming from an access point I have set up and to use the router for ethernet connection only. What are my options?

There are hidden networks that are being broadcast that are used for interfacing with their home security systems that can not be disabled. All that you can do is to use your own third party retail bought equipment and not rent there stuff.

How easy is it to switch out modems? Does Xfinity charge if you don’t use their modem, I recall reading something about not having unlimited data.

user_levk72 Hello, we do not charge our customers if they use their own modem. You can find a list of approved third party modems online. We do have different options for unlimited data.
