How to block my WiFi

I looked through that information, but my issue is that my daughter brings home friends devices, and connects them to the internet when she is supposed to be asleep. I don’t see anything that makes it so my WiFi cannot be accessed by unknown devices. Help.

But if they can physically get at the gateway and hit the WPS button, then they can still connect. You would need to go into the settings to disable it.

How do I block unknown devices????

I wish it was that easy. She figured out that all she needs to do is later go back to the device that I manually input the password, and click the little eye to the right, and there’s the password for her. It’s frustrating to change the password daily. I feel like there should be an easier way. Any other ideas?

When I check to see which devices are connected, I will see a device that is not one of ours. When I then pause that device, conveniently my daughter comes out of the bedroom.

What do you mean exactly by "comes out of the bedroom" ? If you mean that she can no longer access the internet, then it looks like that what you are seeing is indeed one of your devices. Especially if it's repeatable.

Cross-reference the MAC address that you see with the MAC address of her device and see whether or not they match. If they do, or if they do not, either way, you'll have a definitive answer.

Yes, that’s what I mean. But she has the device well hidden in her room so I can’t find it. How can I make it so no new “unknown” devices (that she sneaks into the house and hides) are not allowed to access my WiFi?

Sounds like some stricter parental strategies should be implemented and enforced here.. That was not intended to offend or insult !
