How to Actually Talk to a Human at Xfinity / Comcast

I figured it out after 15-20 calls to customer service, trying to speak with somebody to help fix my Wi-Fi that’s been out for over 8 days. All you have to do is click the automated prompts it tells you to as if you are a business that is looking to start using Xfinity. They will connect you with somebody instantly. From there, they transferred me to another human that was able to give me an update on my non-existent Wi-Fi.

Here's how to send a private message to Xfinity Support;

  • Click "Sign In" if that prompt is visible

  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon  or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person but don't do that.

      Instead, type Xfinity Support there. As you are typing a drop-down list appears.

  • Select "Xfinity Support" from the list. An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

  • Press Enter or tap the > icon to send it
