How do you connect to an XB7 router when in bridge mode?
I had an outage today and was completely unable to connect to any kind of XB7 router UI which I have in bridge mode. The problem resolved itself eventually but the remaining issue is that I was unable to get ANY kind of UI to my XB7. I connected an ethernet cable from my Windows 11 machine to the back of the XB7 and after checking that I had a valid IP address using ipconfig, tried http://10.0.0.1, http://192.168.100.1 , neither of them worked. As I said eventually a few restarts and my direct connection to the XB7 was working and I had internet, then reconnected my TP-Link AX3000 router, restarted everything and all was well, so I gave up. But next time it sure would be nice to see if the XB7 link status.
This article was really interesting. Has anyone successfully added a static route to their router to either the 10.0 or 192.168 addresses and was able to get to the XB7 UI while in bridge mode? It didn't work for me. Even when directly connected, I got nothing. My AX3000 has a different route config, I tried using 192.168.100.0 as the , Subnet mask 255.255.255.0, default gateway 192.168.100.1, Interface = WAN for the Ax3000 settings, and similar for the 10.0.x subnet. No luck.
My home network is set up as 192.168.0.x with the router at 192.168.0.1 using DHCP to give out addresses for everything 192.168.0.2 and above on the LAN, pretty standard setup, nothing fancy.
