how do you check upstream/downstream activity?

I have an Arris TG3482G leased from Xfinity. I know how to login to 10.0.0.1 but I don't see where I can check my downstream/upstream status.

How can I check it ? I have seen some post with lot of output about it, but I don't seem to find it.

Regards,

Sankar

Hello @sankarm Thank you for reaching out over our community forum page. To be able to check the information in your gateway, once you login, and are at the main screen, you will need to select the dropdown menu for Connection under Gateway. Then select XFINITY Network. Scroll down to find the Downstream and Upstream information. I hope this helps find what you are looking for.

@XfinityRobertA Thank you. I got it.
Next question: Will the downstream channels (1-33) be all locked ?  For upstream channels 1,2 are locked but 3,4,5 are not. Please see the partial screenshot below.

Someone from xfinity told me that thay have to send a technician for upstream/downstream issue. Before I request it, I need to understand if there is really an issue.

Thanks,

Sankar

@sankarm Thank you very much for sending us a screenshot of your modem stats. At least 3 upstream channels should be locked. I would like to take a closer look into your signals and diagnostics. Please send over a direct message including your full name and address to get started.

To send a Direct Message:

Ensure you are logged in

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3uDYbhH

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

   Press Enter to send it
