How do I get the ethernet port working on xfinity router for a new setup?

I just received my new xfinity box for internet 2 days ago.  I set it up and all the wifi capability is working just fine!  However, I have my desktop hard-wired to it and I cannot seem to figure out why it doesn't work.  I used the ethernet cord provided with the device.  Is there a specific port?  I tried changing the port a couple times and it seems the same no matter what I do.  Here's a screenshot of what it looks like when I connect with ethernet.  I obviously had to connect to my wifi to make this post, which is why it is connected as well.  If I disconnect the wifi, all internet goes out, but stays saying "unidentified network"

I feel so dumb... I had a different router before and had hard-coded my local IP Address.  I changed to DHCP and it's fine now!  Sorry!
