Gaming doesn't actually require a whole lot of bandwidth. If you watch it in real time, the actual data transfer isn't very high. You can pull a lot more data streaming. You won't notice connection problems streaming as much as you would with live video or gaming because the data is delivered in chunks, it's adaptable as far as video quality goes, and the software retries as it loads a buffer. It's a lot more forgiving.
Most of the issues you find here are wiring/splitter/old cable install related. Start here and take a look at what your gateway is seeing for a signal coming in. If you are running out of spec, or picking up errors there, you have no chance. Upgrading plans or switching hardware won't fix a wiring problem or bad components hanging off your existing wiring: https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/your-home-network/internet-troubleshooting-tips/602dae4ac5375f08cde52ea0

@user_6ae3df Question ? Is this with a WiFi connection ? If so, that opens up another large list of variables. It's best practice to do gaming with a hardwired / ethernet connection.
