how do i change the IP on a pc with a forwarded port?
i have a xb7 and since you guys changed the OS so you can no longer setup a port forward by typing in the ip and port number. you now have to select it from a list.. from an app on my phone.
thats awesome.. but it doesnt work.
i select the pc from the list and choose the port i want forwarded, and it says my pc is on IP XX.XX.XX.11 but its not on ip XX.XX.XX.11 its on ip XX.XX.XX.22
no matter how many times i reboot things, delete the forward or reboot the modem, it always thinks the PC is on XX.XX.XX.11
i went in and tried to reserve IP XX.XX.XX.11 and i rebooted the PC but then the app says the PC is offline and i cant select it anymore. even tho now it is on XX.XX.XX.11
here is the strange thing, if i check the pc i want to forward a port in the connection overview and click on details, it has the right IP. yet the port forward thinks its different.. still. sigh.
how do i do this?

Thank you for reaching out to our forums. Have you followed the link: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfi-port-forwarding to set up port forwarding using the app?

it has been a few days now and with the suggestion of tech i got a new modem, i switched out the xb7 for a xb8...
i have to say the port forward system is absolutely broken.
now the app shows my pc on IP 10.0.0.221.. but the port forward is IP 192.168.1.11
i deleted the port forward, reinstalled the port forward by selecting the PC from the drop down list.
ive rebooted the router and the PC.. it just will not change the forwarded PC's IP.
the thing is the PC is on 10.0.0.221.. so this is or was correct.. ive rebooted it a few times and the IP changes.. obviously.
it just does not work.. it used to work.. before all i had to do was go to 10.0.0.1 in my web browser, go to advanced and TYPE in the IP and the port number i wanted forwarded and blammo good to go.. BUT NO THAT WAS TOO EASY :(
