How do I activate another coax outlet

I am trying to use a different coax outlet than what the technician hooked up to when first installed but none of them work. Do I need to have a technician come out in order to use a different outlet?

Good afternoon @user_zp1rqz. Sounds like you may need a tech appointment to activate a new outlet. There is a charge normally associated with that, just depends on a few things. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name and full address, we can provide you more details.

 

To send a "Direct Message" ("Private") message:

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Message chat" icon

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it
