Hello, there @tdenison thank you so much for reaching out using the Xfinity community forums for help with your questions on the version of the router/modem you have. Typically if the modem is capable of supporting speeds up to 1Gbps it would be 3.1 for example our XB6 and XB7 are DOCSIS 3.1 devices. I do hope that helps!

@tdenison How about posting what model device you have? It should be on a label on the bottom/side/somewhere on the device.
