How can I connect my HP Laserjet Pro MFP M29w printer to my new Xfinity XB7 Wi-Fi network

The printer does not have a touchscreen. I tried pairing via XFINITY 10.0.0.1 interface on my browser. I tried pressing the WP button on the XB7 and the Wi-Fi LED on the printer.

Since posting this, I got the printer working on my wifi. Either one or both of the following did the trick:

- I didn't realize the xFinity Gateway has WP support. The button is hard to discern (it's the same color as the rest of the Gateway - white - and it's a "depression" button, not a protruding button to push as I have seen on every other Router I have ever owned.  So I pushed the Depression WP button and went to my printer and activated WP on it within a few seconds.

- The other thing I did was access the Gateway on my browser (10.0.0.1) and moved to Connected Devices, then selected the ADD WI-FI PROTECTED SETUP (WPS) CLIENT under the list of Offline Devices. The Add Wi-Fi Client page comes up. This page is also accessible via Gateway > Connection > Wi-Fi. There I made sure Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) is enabled (and WPS Pin Method disabled), selected Push Button under Connection Options and then clicked on PAIR.

user_6g562r, I thank you for creating a new post and also for doing more troubleshooting on your end. Additionally, I'm grateful for you providing updates along with the steps you took, ensuring anyone who may run into this in the future can revisit this post and get answers.

Some smaller devices do prefer a dedicated 2.4 GHz network, which requires you to separate your network on the Gateways. That said, it sounds like you got it sorted out :)

The concern is not "Community Knowledge Base" related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section for assistance.

I don't have that particular printer, but the standard suggestion is to disable WPA3, and make sure only WPA2 is enabled on the wifi. I'm afraid I couldn't tell you step by step how to do that on the XB7, but someone more knowledgeable than me might.
