Household Internet drops connection multiple times a day precisely at :00, :15, :30, or :45 of the hour

The Internet connection (1.2Gbps, Motorola modem, TP-link Wi-Fi) of my entire household (laptop, phones, TV, etc.) drops connection multiple times a day precisely at :00, :15, :30, or :45 of the hour.

The lapse in the connection usually lasts 2 mins or so, after which the connection will automatically resume.

We're usually patient enough to just wait for it to come back on, but sometimes when you're in a Zoom meeting or taking an online test, those 2 mins are quite unbearable.

Judging by the disconnect times, the timing is not exactly random.

Could this be by design?

Also, tried calling Xfinity customer service, never got anywhere.

Considering switching services now.

Ah hah!  I thought I was seeing timed or patterned outages as well.  Only, more irritatingly, my outages last 10 to 30 minutes...
