host pending connection timeout

The wifi was just recently upgraded to 200mbps and with that upgrade when ever I try to access any online activity such as mutliplayer games the wifi connection changes drastically from 200 mbps to around 1 mbps, as well as very frequent drops of wifi throught the day, I searched through my pc and tried resetting the motom frequently, with this though there doesn't seem to be any drop in connectivity when streaming videos or movies, Is there any way to fix this? Is there any more information that is required?
