Horrible Lag!

I have been having high latency for awhile now...even speed test show Idle Latency as high as 240!  The strange thing is, when I had 50 mb speed from Xfinity, everything was fine and lag was too far in between to be an issue.  Now that I have 75 mb, all I get is latency issues.  It doesn't matter what I'm doing....  Streaming, downloading or online-gaming, there will be latency issues.  Movie streams sliders use to finish in the matter of seconds or several minutes, but now, movies might start throttling because the sider indicating the stream is slow or not moving.  It's like having a bad phone internet connection for home internet.  I've already tried reseting the Modem, checking the cables, etc...

I really don't want to go over to Centurylink and have been hoping Xfinity would fix what ever issue that's bringing bad internect connection to my House or maybe the area in general (33916).  Maybe send someone out to check the line that runs to my House...

I'm wondering if Xfinity has oversold the service...?

Customer service is the worst!

I even had one send me a text message about spam/harassment, in its own words, when all I was doing was contacting support.   <Edited: Language>

For someone who's never missed an internet payment, I'm afraid to even bother with a support person.

Edited Language....  Seriously....  [Edited: "Language"] is language...?

What is this world coming to...

@user_9845ac I understand how important your services are to you as they are to me as I also to work from home full time and any service issues will cause a headache not only to not be able to assist my customers but prevents my kids from getting school work done and being entertained while I am working!

I want to make sure we are respecting your time and not repeat the steps you have taken previously. What additional troubleshooting steps have you taken outside rebooting the modem and checking cables?

I also wanted to make sure you are aware that any time you need to troubleshoot our Xfinity app can assist you step by step. It is not just to pay your bill or to get notifications about interruptions. To learn how to troubleshoot in the future you can follow the link: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/using-xfinity-app. Honestly, it is the best app to date that we offer and super easy to use for all of your account needs!
