Honeywell T9 Thermostat WiFi Not Connecting

For the past year, my Honeywell T9 thermostat had no issues connecting to my wi-fi. It suddenly stopped connecting last night and will not reconnect. In fact, the thermostat no longer sees my SSIDs (broadcast is enabled) for either the 2.4Ghz or 5GHz networks (it can connect to either). But it does see the SSIDs of my neighbors. When I manually enter my SSID and password, it gives an error saying it cannot connect. I have turned off xFI Advanced Protection, rebooted the Xfinity router several times, and did a factory reset of the thermostat. I do not have any problem with any other device (this is the only Honeywell one). Any suggestions?

The two WiFi bands have recently been combined into one with the Comcast gateway devices. Some devices get confused and don't know how to see / talk to combined bands.

If you are not using any Xfi Pods, you can try separating the 2.4 and the 5.0 bands and give them two different broadcast names / SSID's;

Associate the devices with the 2.4 or the 5.0 (whichever one works) band's SSID (broadcast name) and password.

YMMV. Good luck !

I'm having the same issue and use 2 bands that have different names to not get confused.

My Honeywell Lyric had stopped connecting too last year and I replaced it with the T9. Now to have this connection to the router issue again is disheartening to say the least.

I have the exact problem which started on the same date and tried everything you did. Have an XB7 with combined 2.4 and 5hz network. I then connected an old Apple Time Capsule by Ethernet and gave it the same SSID. It has a combined band network and connected just fine with the T9!! Must have been a system or modem “upgrade” that created this problem with my XB7.

Having the same issue with my T9. Did the "factory reset", reset the router etc. and it did not fix the problem. I have two houses and brought the working T9 from my other house and it did not connect. This has to be related to a Comcast update.

I just purchased the honeywell T9 and have been unsuccessful in connecting it to wifi. It shows other networks in the neighborhood but not mine. I split the 2.4 and 5 to separate named networks but they still didn't even show up. I factory reset the t9 and reset the xfinity equipment numerous time and still nothing. I'm on the verge of sending the T9 back and finding a new wifi thermostat. All other devices in my home easily connected to the wifi so I have no clue what is wrong with the T9

I solved the same problem by connecting my old Apple time capsule router to the Xfinity XB 7 modem/router  I think my problem was with the XB7 (wifi 6) modem/router rather than the T9. Or the T9 does not like Wifi 6.
