Home Network Doesn't Show on New Printer

I bought a new Epson printer and it can see all my neighbors' networks as well as the generic xfinity one, but not my home network.  I cannot find the network manually entering the ID and PW either.

I don't have a device limit on my network.

Do you possibly have your gateway set up to broadcast WiFi only in the 5GHz band? Most wireless printers support only the 2.4GHz WiFi band.

When I look at My Account through the app, I have both setup with passwords.  However, I never see the 2.4 with any device.

Do you have different SSIDs and passwords for the 2.4 and 5Ghz bands? Is Broadcast WiFi Name checked on both? Since you know how to access the settings through My Account, maybe as an experiment, set the 2.4GHz SSID/password the same as the 5GHz SSID/password and then uncheck Use Different Names and Password.

If you are not using any Xfi Pods, you can try separating the 2.4 and the 5.0 bands and give them two different broadcast names / SSID's;

I had the two separate and the 2.4 signal never showed up for any devices.  I just combined them per suggestion and that is not showing on the printer either.

Well, I'm stumped. There is a small chance that the gateway is defective and the 2.4GHz WiFi is broken. However, there is a better chance that the 2.4GHz WiFi is simply turned off. Unfortunately, the wifi on/off status is not "seen" by the xFi application, so you can't see/fix it from MyAccount.

Logging onto the gateway is not really complicated. From a desktop browser, go to 10.0.0.1 and logon with ID=admin and password=password (everything lower case). If it asks you to change the password, please be sure to write down what you change it to.

On the left, go to Connection -> WiFi and then go down to the 2.4GHz line and click the Edit button. On the Wireless Network line, be sure the "Enable" button is highlighted (click it again to be sure). If the button color changed, that was the problem. Then click the "Save Settings" button.

I shouldn't have waited to try this.  But 2 factory resets later of the modem and it is now working.

Thank you everyone who responded.
