Home Internet Data Overages
We use between 500-700GB per month but last month we supposedly used 1.6TB and this month, with 7 days remaining, I receive a notification saying we have used 90%. I think this is an issue with Xfinity as we have not used more data. I have attempted to chat with support but have only been offered unlimited data for an additional charge. I do not think this is accurate data usage and do not plan on paying for any overages. We need a resolution.

If you have already checked your current connected devices for any that may be causing this increase or making sure there are no unknown devices on your network, we would recommend reaching out to our Customer Security Assurance (CSA) team. They can be contacted directly at 1-888-565-4329 and their hours of operation are 8:00am - 12:00am EST, 7 days a week. They are experts in handling these types of concerns.

Personally, I think this a new money grab for Xfinity. I have been a customer for over 30 years and have NEVER gotten one of these notices until this month. Same thing as you, got an mail a few days before the end of the month saying I have almost used up my allotted data. I didn't even know they were measuring data. Son works from home (different internet company) on two computers all day and fam streams movies all the time, and he has never heard of this.
