High ping

Hello, I play FIFA competitively and I'm having irregular ping issues. It will randomly spike quite high, but it ranges anywhere from 28-36ms. Ping this high creates input delay while I play and can effect the outcome of situations, in turn effecting the outcome of matches. I've been looking at message boards and there seem to be a number of people having or had similar issues. I've ran through all the troubleshooting recommended, with no improvement. This is sort of driving me crazy and need help by someone who knows what they're talking about. I've called in a few times and I'm told everything looks good on their end. It would be so much appreciated if someone could dive into this deeper.

I feel your pain. I play Guild Wars 2 and get the same random spikes that make me unable to defend myself. It's very annoying and the game become unplayable. We had outages in my area and they say my net is impaired. I had a nice window for a few hours to play normal, but now it's all downhill again.  I get 200+mbps on speed tests, now its like 9-17mbps. Bummer.

The latency I'm experiencing is well beyond acceptable at 26-32ms. I live near Philadelphia and my host server is in Pittsburgh, on the other side of the state. I play FIFA competitively, for money. This is the second time I've posted about this. I had no response on my first post. Each time I call Xfinity I'm told "everything looks good on our end". There's clear problems that have become progressively worse. It's as if nobody has any understanding in this company for anything beyond what their cheat sheet in front of them tells them to check when on the line with a customer. I'll be filing a BBB complaint with the company in a few days if I don't get any real help.
