High Ms RRT on Home Network connecting to work server
Does anyone know why I'd be able to sign on to a work server with the public hotspot from my router but not my own Internet or Wifi? Or why the RTT would be differnet between the two.
Background - Work server requires lower than 375ms rtt to connect. My internet and wifi = over 12,000ms, public hotspot=67ms.
I contacted techsupport for the work server and they assure me that continous connection and RTT are the only requirements to connect (IE: there are no firewall or port settings that need to be adjusted.) I've checked the Task Manager and I mantain the minimum continous connection.
This also happened overnight, I could connect one day and not the next. Work IT is stumped, says to call Comcast. As I have already turned the modem on and off again, I feel like they won't have any help to provide. I avoided calling them at all costs, but I've spent days trying to work this out and I'm working myself up to it.
No one else at my comany is having the same issue (granted they are all WFH on their own connections, but other people have Comcast.) Also, my husband wfh in the same room with no issues or changes to his connection/usage.
