High latency spikes

I have had Comcast for over 10 years and my  Internet gaming has never been a problem until about one year ago. There started to be constant latency spikes. Varying from 30ms-500ms. I thought maybe my hardware was outdated so I upgraded to the gigabit Internet plan about a month ago and have the newest generation xfi gateway. This has not solved the issue, and the latency spikes are even more frequent. This has made online gaming impossible. My Ps5 and Xbox series x are both hardwired into the xfi gateway. How can I fix this..?

Experiencing the same issue....  High Latency from Xfinity now and this has been going on for days.  It just came out of nowhere and when I checked the Status Center for outage in my area days ago, there was something up but it has supposedly been fixed but with all the high latency I'm getting, something is clearly broken in my area.  Web pages failing to load and Youtube is auto lowering video quality because of the bad high latency.  This is not what I signed up for with Xfinity.
