HELP with connecting my printer to my wifi

I have a Canon Maxify MB2720. We just moved and I was setting up my printer with our new wifi. It reads the SSID as my current wifi, however, won't let me change whatever passphrase it has. Doesn't ask me to enter a passphrase either when i SELECT MY CURRENT WIFI. Once selected, it immediately just tries to connect and then gives me an error message to check my router/ensure passphrase is correct etc. At wits end here. Hoping someone can help. Thanks
