help with computer that "cannot be contacted over the network

Your assistants have helped  connect my Brother printer to the new Gateway modem and then to my computer Windows 10.  When I tried to print today, I got the error message:  Brother HL-L2305 set up complete, cannot be contacted over the network.  Computer appears to be correctly configured but device or resource 169.254.57.202 is not responding. 

The print out of Printer Settings today reads 10.0.086 (via DHCP) for IP address, and 255.255.255.0 for Subnet Mask.  Former printout gives 169.254.161.169 for IP address.  I am totally at a loss.

Good Morning, @user_z2391a! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on the Xfinity Forums! I am very sorry to hear about the experience with getting your printer connected. When on your computer, are you able to pull up a web browser and surf the web? If so, do your printer require a 2.4 connection? Please let us know.
