...Help setting up separate networks for 2.4, 5.0 GHz devices

My landscape lighting and sprinkler systems (different companies) both require the use of 2.4GHz network to access.  All other devices in our house use the 5.0GHz band.   I believe my  set to default to 5.0 GHZ only, creating a conflict the landscape lighting and irrigation systems.

I have  an Xfinity XB8. What setup should I use to resolve this?

thank you

user_u4jy1i Here's a breakdown of how to separate the bands using the Xfinity app:
  1. Open the Xfinity app: and sign in with your Xfinity ID and password.

  2. Navigate to the WiFi tab: This is usually at the bottom of the app screen.

  3. Select "View WiFi details" or "View WiFi equipment": (depending on your app version).

  4. Choose "Advanced settings": (if available).

  5. Select "WiFi bands" .

  6. Enable "Split Bands": This option will usually be a checkbox or a toggle switch.

  7. Customize the names and passwords: You can rename the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks to differentiate them, and you can also change the passwords.

  8. Save the changes: This will apply the new settings to your router.
