Help Resolving a DDNS setup issue.

I've used DDNS To access my home cameras before, but it's been a few years, and I'm still basically a rookie at it. Also, this is the first time I've ever been on XFINITY. So I got the IP  address from my router (I'm using a Netgear 6400), and set it up with No-IP. It looks something like 73.152.xxx.xx . I did this several weeks ago but have not been able to resolve it using the port check tool.

So this morning after doing a little research I ran the command line ns lookup, and received a totally different address:

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    pulxxxxxjo.ddns.net
Address:  34.xxx.8.144

So now I am totally confused. That shows as an Amazon web service address.

So what's the trick to accessing my IP cameras while I'm away?

I should mention that although my IP address appears to be a static address, that I must treat it as a dynamic one and already understand about regularly updating the address using the No-Ip tool provided.

Thank you in advance for your help.
