Help Requested
I am unable to connect my Skylight digital picture frame or my TP Link WA855RE network extender to the Xfinity XB8 gateway I received a few days ago. Both worked on the previous Xfinity XB3 gateway and the picture frame will still connect to my phone hotspot. Is there a setting within the gateway to allow the connection? I have already tried WPS for the network extender and manually adding the devices in the WiFi Control List in the MAC Filtering Settings.

@user_0d87e0 Thank you for reaching out and bringing this to our attention. I can understand how this would be frustrating. When you were using the XB3 modem, did you have the networks split showing the 2.4 and 5GHz networks?

Ummm… internet service has been out in various parts of town fir about 3 days now, Tim. That there could be the reason you can’t connect your devices. Well, your gateway may be working but if the internet is down then you have no connection to the web. If I could find a number to call and complain that’s what I would do. Would be nice to get it fixed, Xfinity!!
