Thank you for your help. Is my only option then to setup a wifi router within the network?
You could connect a Wireless Access Point to the gateway device and set it up to have it's own SSID (broadcast name) and its own password and have the guests connect to that. You could just return the gateway and save the rental fee and the additional cost of the WAP and get your own third-party router that has a guest network feature.
