Got New Modem, No Connection, High Correctables
I got a new modem recently to try and attempt to fix my intermittent lag spikes with my old router (though Im unsure the old modem is the cause, Im just trying to eliminate it as a possibility).
I got the new modem all set up by calling Comcast support, and when the customer service rep activated it, the modem wasnt working still. I logged into the modem's admin interface and saw that it had a huge number of correctables on the 33rd channel. Not sure why that is, or why that channel is the only one that differs in Modulation from all the others.
My router acquires a lease on an IP address with the new modem as well, but any connection to an external site (google, amazon, wikipedia, etc) does not bring up anything. My browsers (Edge, Chrome, Safari, Firefox) all give the same response. Ive tested on multiple computers, both wired and via wifi. Ive attached the logs and connection info below.
Ive had to switch back to my old modem (Arris Surfboard SB6190) in the mean time, and this modem doesn't have the 33rd channel on its admin page.
New Modem Model: Motarola MB8611

Hey there, @Javvadocs,
Thanks for posting about your experiencing in setting up your modem.
Before we dive into more troubleshooting, did you double check to see if the modem is approved to use by Comcast?
Here is a very helpful article that will walk you through the steps of using an approved modem.
