GlobalProtect VPN won't connect on Xfinity wifi

I and several other Comcast customers at my company have been unable to connect to the company VPN using GlobalProtect as of last week. I get the following message:

"Connection Failed. The network is unreachable or the portal is unresponsive. Check the network connection and reconnect."

IT looked into it, and said it's a Comcast issue. I'd been connecting to the VPN with no issue before last week.

Can you please help resolve this? I already tried power cycling the modem and router, and I can still connect to the VPN using a cellular hot spot (off my Xfinity wifi).

@user_7j9z6t I am sorry to hear you are having connection issues with your VPN. While we don’t provide technical support for third-party VPNs the link: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/using-a-vpn-connection can be very helpful.

Using my own NETGEAR Modem Router combo, these steps seem to have worked:

1. Sign in as admin at http://192.168.0.1/ (or whatever the address needed is)

2. Go to the "ADVANCED" tab > "Advanced Setup" > "IPv6" in the left side menu

3. Check the box for "Disable IPv6 Firewall Protection"

Having this issue as well. IT directed me to Comcast, and they gave me the same article. Were you able to find a work around? I'm not exactly computer savvy, so I'm not too familiar with what user o1esdi suggested. Apologies for the bother, I'm just trying to figure out how to resolve this somehow.

@user_02rxgu Thanks for adding to the thread. Have you tried to see if Advanced Security is Enabled, and turning it off? I found the steps for you here https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/using-xfinity-xfi-advanced-security.
