Giving Different WiFi Bands Different Names on a New XB8-T

I've gotten a new router and a new set of headaches.  Mainly some of my older devices (Brother HDL4570 printer, RPi's) won't connect to the WiFi network, yet this was not an issue with my previous router.

The webbernet suggests I should give the different bands (2.4Ghz, 5Ghz, and 6Ghz) different names.  But tech support says that's not possible!  I've figured out it is, but it took me a while due to the crazy configuration of the Xfinity app and the fact that there are inconsistencies between the app and the web network interface at 10.0.0.1.  See below for my solution.

SOLUTION!!!

If you use the Xfinity app and go to WiFi at the bottom and then hit the WiFi details button It will bring up a list of the multiple bands (all sharing the same name).  Click on one of them and it will give you a QR code and, at the bottom, an option to "Edit WiFi settings".  Click on this and below the first set of entries and the Broadcast WifFi name, there's a "Split bands (not recommended)" slider. Turn this on and you can give different bands different names and passwords.

Woohoo!
