Gigabit WiFi Speed
If my WiFi system meets all requirements, what should I expect as max WiFi speeds from my Gigabit Xfinity internet? I understand that I will not draw down a full 1000 Mbps. Also, lets assume that my WiFi device is directlly (in this instance a 2020 fully capable HP laptop) in front of the router. Thank you!

WiFi is incredibly finicky, and all sorts of factors can interfere with the speed of the connection and the hardware of the devices involved., even if your device is adjacent to the antenna.
That said, the best WiFi 5 download speed I've ever been able to get was 700+ Mbps from my 2015 iMac, followed by my iPhone 11 Pro Max at 550+ Mbps.
Assuming your laptop has MIMO support you should have no problem getting at least 500 Mbps. But given you're that close to the gateway, why not just use an ethernet cable if you want the full gigabit (more like 940) speed?
