Gigabit upgrade not giving improved speeds

I just upgraded to the Gigabit extra plan that is supposed to give 1200 Mbps plus, unfortunately, we haven't experienced any increase in speed from are previous plan. I was on the 800 Mbps plan prior to the upgrade and my speed is still only showing me 890 Mbps max when I test the speed. This is a wired connection with my PC's link speed supporting 1000 Mbps. I also have a PS5 wired and it is showing the same numbers as before the upgrade. both Ethernet cables were upgraded with the plan upgrade as well. Please send help!

in order to see the full 1200 mbps you need to have a computer that has a 2.5 gigabyte Nic card in it. your ps5 will only have a 1 gigabyte nic card and most laptop and desktop only have a 1 gigabyte nic card. best way to test this is using the xfi app and test to the modem that will show you what your cable modem is getting

Hi there, @user_92989c. Thank you for reaching out with your internet speed concern. We are happy to help and get to the bottom of the problem! This link goes over the Xfinity Internet Minimum System Recommendations. Can you please look over the section for 1.2 Gbps and let me know if your system meets the recommendations?
