Getting only an ipv6 address from gateway

When I connect to my Xfinity gateway, it only gives me an ipv6 address. DNS doesn’t work and I’m not able to connect my work laptop to the corporate vpn since it can’t look up the host name. I’ve rebooted the laptop, rebooted the gateway a couple of times. I’ve “forgotten” the gateway network and reauthenticated to it. I have a signal booster that acts as a bridge and if I go through that, I can connect. The smart tv can’t connect with the fire stick. Tried doing the forget with that too, no luck. The gateway was working fine yesterday. I have the workaround with going through the bridge, but I need to get ipv4 from the gateway. I had one connection where I initially saw an ipv4 address, a lookup worked but then it flipped to the ipv6.
Has anyone experienced this? I’ll call support but figured I’d ask first. The Xfinity gateway is only a couple of months old and supports 1.2gbps. It’s been running just fine until today…

Hey, @user_c9da5e. Thanks for posting on our Community Forums for assistance. I have a couple of questions for you. I just want to make sure I understand your concern. Are you port-forwarding the connection? What do you mean by signal booster? Is your main issue the Smart TV not connecting to the Firestick? Which device is requiring you to connect to an Ipv4 address?
