Geolocation Issues

Ever since my apartment complex switched over to a bulk internet package, my Wifi frequently disconnects when I use the gateway. I'm assuming it is because of interference from all of my neighbors being on the same channel. So I got an external router and enabled bridge mode, and the Wifi works much better, but I'm having geolocation issues and it's preventing me from accessing sites where I have to be in my state to access. Any ideas? It's a Nighthawk X6 r8000 router.

jgizow44, Thanks for reaching out to Xfinty Support. This is what I could find on Geolocation issues. To fix geolocation issues, you need to contact the website where the problem occurs or the geolocation service provider. Here are the steps:
Identify the website or service showing incorrect location data.
Reach out to the website's support or the geolocation service directly.
Use the contact information for common services like Google, MaxMind, Ip2location, or Ipdata.
Keep in mind that it can take up to a month for the location information to be corrected after the request is submitted.

Does the router have a MAC address cloning feature, you can clone a different MAC address into it. This will force a change of your Comcast assigned WAN / public IP address. No guarantees that the new address won't also have incorrect geo-data as it may be from the same block of IP's. YMMV. Good luck !
