gateway restart times

We've been having brief power outages (<1 min).  Once power is restored, it is well over 10 minutes until we can connect to internet.  Is it normal for the gateway restart (xfi) to take so long?

@XfinityAliciaA​ I just want to know how long it typically takes to restart and connect to an xfi gateway.

It can take up to a full 30 minutes depending on how long the modem is without power. When performing a simple reboot, it takes around 5 minutes, but loss of power can take longer. Are you still not online yet? 

I no longer work for Comcast.
