Gateway Replacement
Hi,
I would like to get a gateway replacement as I have constant network issues, specifically related to accessing one of the websites. I did all the troubleshooting steps by the Xfinity Assistant and contacted our company IT. We ruled out any possibility of laptop malfunction and restarted my home network multiple times. At this point, I wanted to talk to the live agent to get the replacement started, but couldn't reach them. Can you please advice on how to proceed – I really need this to work.

The easiest and fastest way it to schedule an appointment at your nearest Xfinity store. You will need to bring your existing hardware with you. You need to do this as an appointment, so that the staff can make sure that they have the new hardware in stock. Alternatively, you can sign into the xfinity portal and request a technician come out to activate the new hardware and verify that it is working properly. Please be aware that you will most likely be charged an activation fee for the new modem, and if a technician comes to your location, you may well be charged for that visit as well. That being said, it is very highly unlikely that your hardware is causing the issue you are having, unless the website in question has blocked your MAC address and/or IP address. If the latter, which is more likely than a hardware issue,. you will need to contact the IT department of the website to determine if you are blocked, and whether they are willing to unblock your access.
