Thanks for reaching out to us. We do apologize for any inconvenience and as a customer myself, I would be concerned if my modem was getting hot and overheating. I recommend checking your power connection and removing any extra power outlet you're using just to rule out any possibilities, but if you do need a new modem, you can go directly to the Xfinity store and pick one up for free!
