The internet keeps going out and only 2 out of 3 lights are staying lit.

Just tagging in. I am having the same problem. sigh.
First, check here for info on any possible local outages;
I did, there doesn't seem to be any. I have restarted a few times. Comcast cannot see my modem when I try through their website. The WiFi light on the front just flashes/flickers.
