gateway connection

my gateway was showing no light, i moved it to another room so i could figure out if it was the outlet or my gateway. when i did that the gateway turned on but sat there and flashed orange for 30 minutes. i then moved it back to the room it was originally in and tested out the other outlets, turns out all of the outlets in that room are out. my question is, when i get the outlets figured out will it have trouble connecting like it did in the other room or should it connect just fine since that’s the room it’s always been in?
