FTTP/EPON ONT has POWER but no PON/ONLINE after outage - need Advanced Repair / provisioning check
I have Xfinity FTTP/EPON service with a separate Xfinity fiber ONT feeding an XB8 gateway.
The ONT currently has POWER only. PON and ONLINE are both dark.
Before the most recent power cycle, the ONT had POWER, PON and ONLINE all green. After the outage/power cycle it has failed to reacquire PON/ONLINE.
I have already performed a clean ONT-only restart. The XB8 is currently unplugged so this is not a Wi-Fi or gateway boot issue. The ONT itself is not establishing PON.
Yesterday, this same ONT was able to boot by itself and reacquire all three green lights quickly, after which I powered the XB8 and service worked normally.
Frontline chat was unable to resolve this and only offered a technician appointment. I am specifically requesting that the Xfinity Digital Care team check the ONT/ONU registration and provisioning on the EPON side, verify the ONT/equipment association on my account, check whether the ONU is visible/registered from the network side, and attempt any appropriate reprovisioning or registration refresh before assuming a field visit is required.
If this cannot be handled by the forum team directly, please open an Advanced Repair Team ticket and give me the ticket number.
I am not asking for Wi-Fi troubleshooting or another XB8 restart. The immediate fault is:
ONT POWER: GREEN
PON: OFF
ONLINE: OFF
Please investigate the optical/EPON registration state first.
