Frequent Internet Crashes/Drops
Hi there,
I'm currently experiencing intermittent internet drops and crashes, with no idea what is causing the problem. When I say drops/crashes, my entire network goes down. My desktop PC is hardwired via an ethernet cable, and my phone is connected via WiFi. Everything goes down for anywhere from 1 minute to 10 minutes; I don't have to do anything besides wait and it comes right back up on its own. On my desktop PC, I usually have a live stream open, a phone call via Discord, and then my game of choice. The issue began in mid-February and has persisted since. Prior to that, and before my move, I had zero major issues with Xfinity for the last seven years.
So far, I've had 4 technicians stop by my apartment and diagnose the issue.
1st: Everything looks fine, let's replace your modem/router (provided by Xfinity)
2nd: Hmm, I'll replace some wiring in your box.
3rd: The wiring from the splitter to your coax ports looks to be 10+ years old, you need a rewire.
4th: The wiring looks fine, no rewire needed. Check to see if we can run a brand new line though.
I'm now waiting on my escalated case to send a technician to verify with my apartment managers that a new line is allowed to be run, which may take place tomorrow, hopefully.
However, I'm hoping I can receive some guidance here as to what might be causing a total crash. If there's anything I can provide, such as router/modem information (it's an all in one from Xfinity), let me know. If there are any softwares or images I need to link, I can do that as well. I'm fairly tech savvy, but nothing is immediately jumping out on my end to what is causing this.

The downstream power is on the low / weak side and it may be intermittently fluctuating even lower to out of spec levels. That can cause random disconnects, spontaneous re-booting of the modem, speed, packet loss, latency problems, and the un-bonding of channels.
Please post back here again with how things turn out if a new line has been run.
