Frequent connection drops since about a month
I am having trouble with my connection and I hope someone can help as the hotline can not....
About a month ago, connection drops startet with my internet. When it drops, it seems that I can reach IP based services just fine, whereas I cant reach any websites. My first idea was a DNS issue with the Xfinity servers so I used the public Google DNS servers. However, the issue is still there. I even replaced the router. I do the pings and address checks directly on the router diagnostics page, so it seems not to be in my internal network. Somtimes the drop is just for a few moments, sometimes for half an hour. Restarting the equipment does not help. Releasing and renewing the public IP assigned by Xfinity does not help either. In addition I have constant package loss between 0 and 10%, even in times internet is up and running.
Any ideas what it could be?
