fraud

I was contacted by an "xfinity agent" multiple times. They said if I paid 540- up front with a target gift card I would receive 2 years at a lower rate etc.  As others have written, this fraud had all of my xfinity information.  I called the official number and still had this occurr.  How can I speak with a legitimate representative to discuss my bill? The website has no information for that

It was not xfinity that you interacted with.  Comcast will never, ever, under *ANY* circumstance ask you for any type of gift card up front.  You responded to a scam, and got taken.  xfinity is not responsible for your loss.  You should contact the xfinity Assurance team, as it is very likely that your account has been compromised by the scammers you interacted with.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hey there, user_zh7q5g! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on the Xfinity Forums! I am very sorry to hear about the experience, and as @NoNoBadPuppy mentioned, we would recommend reporting the scam information to our customer security assurance team and update your password for your login information. We can certainly take a look into the account and go over all available options with you. Can you please send us a DM to get started?

Please send us a DM with your full name and address to Xfinity Support.
To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pen and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

If you have gotten a call claiming to be from Comcast asking you to buy gift cards or paying upfront for six months or more in exchange for 50% off your bill the FTC is well aware of this scam.  If you get a call like this you can report it to:     https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/
The FTC also has a great webpage on Scams.  Please check it out as well.
For Target Gift Cards:
Call 1 (800) 544-2943 and follow Target’s instructions.
Keep a copy of the Target gift card or your store receipt.
Please help to stop the spread of this kind of fraud.
Thanks!
