Field Tech verified NO OFDMA / Next-Gen signal at the pole (Hitron CODA56)
Hi Xfinity Support Team,
Following up on my previous request regarding my customer-owned Hitron CODA56 and missing upstream OFDMA channels.
An Xfinity field technician just finished testing my line on-site. The technician tested signal directly at the tap/pole outside my house and confirmed that the node/pole is NOT broadcasting or sending any OFDMA / Mid-Split upstream carriers to my line, despite what online support previously indicated.
Since the physical signal is not present at the drop, pushing bootfiles or re-provisioning the modem will not resolve this. Could you please escalate this to Plant / Network Engineering to clarify:
Node Status: Is the physical node feeding my street actually upgraded to Mid-Split yet, or is my address incorrectly flagged as "Next-Gen Ready" in your provisioning database?
Plant Ticket: If the node is upgraded on your end, can a line tech/plant ticket be opened to restore or enable the OFDMA upstream carriers at the tap level?
Please check the recent field tech work order notes on my account for verification.
Thank you!

Hi there, and thank you for providing such detailed information! I appreciate you taking the time to work with the field technician and sharing the findings from the visit. Based on what you've described, I understand the technician confirmed that no upstream OFDMA/Mid-Split carriers are present at the tap serving your home, and I can certainly see why you'd be looking for clarification before pursuing additional provisioning steps.
We'd like to review the recent technician notes and investigate this further. Specifically, we'll want to verify whether the node serving your area has been fully upgraded for Next Generation/Mid-Split service or whether there may be a discrepancy between the network status and what is reflected in our provisioning systems. Can you please send us a direct message with your full name and service address to get started?
