Extremely High Uncorrectables / MDD Timeout / Packet Loss
https://imgur.com/a/fdxBisz - uncorrectables + event log
I am experiencing high packet loss (5%) + extremely high uncorrectables (200,000/minute) + poor speeds (160-200Mbps down on a 1000Mbps connection) with a CM1200 router and R6700v2 router. I have tested this both where my line enters my house as well as where the line is routed to the room. Lugging the router and modem to the basement has been quite fun, to say the least.
The channels where the uncorrectables happen the most all reside between the 621-651MHz channels. Not sure if this is something to note or not.
I had a tech who came out and measured speeds at each location in my house, including both where the cable comes in, as well as where the cable came in the house. The measurements according to the meter seemed okay. We ended up removing a splitter from where the cable enters the house, but the packet loss + uncorrectables still remain, even when testing directly where the line enters the house. I hadn't looked at my modem logs until after the tech's visit, or I would have mentioned this then.
- Did the tech miss something? Do their meters account for things like line noise/packet loss/etc, or do they only test max speed?
- -or- could this be an issue with my modem/router?
Thanks,
Matt

Hey there, @Maqieem! Thank you so much for sharing all those details regarding everything that you have checked, and troubleshot! As far as the technician appointment, the meters do check for leaks, noise in the home or on the line. We would be able to see if there were troubles with the signal with the meter and the technician. Have you reached out to the manufacture of the modem/router to further dive into troubleshooting?
