Extremely frusterated. Need 2nd IP address and at least a little help

I have contact in the “chat” on my PC aswell as spoken on the phone with no help. I checked my “rate card” for my area they don’t offer it here supposedly. However it seems a great many of other xfinity customers usually get help with it regardless of the area offers. Not to mention when I initially upgraded to the gigabit internet plan I bought a new modem which I knew I had to upgrade and upgraded to the ARRIS SB6190 because the Xfinity site recommended it to me and wasn’t getting faster speeds when I replaced my old modem. Then when I opened a ticket with a customer service rep he essentially told me I was wrong and tried to force sell me the Xfi gateway or go out and buy another modem.(not another hardware recommendation) And now I’m out of around $400 between 2 modems, I have a bad taste in my mouth and my internet keeps getting throttled back every 2-3 days. I’ll notice between the latency on my games, my wife having terrible WiFi signal, and other internet related things don’t load very fast(*WIRELESS DEVICE SPEED TEST*60+Down mbps, 20+mbps Up: 3-6 Down, 1-3 UP)I’ll turn on my Paid VPN and get speeds just under what I normally get on WiFi. There was one Rep who actually gave a mess, but other than that the other people I’ve spoken with have been rude and it’s “obviously my fault” yet , they are supposed to be knowledgeable in diagnosing and solving problems with internet. But it’s always literally information I learned how to do when I was 9 years old. REMEMBER ALWAYS “UNPLUG YOUR ROUTER TO RESET IT.” always. step. one. lol. Then in terms of speed “we are sending the boost now” lol just don’t throttle my internet and I wouldn’t have to bug y’all. Here is my service card for my area, the “second” IP isn’t on there, however unless Xfinity is willing to reimburse the SB6190 I bought because that was my initial recommended upgrade from Xfinitys Website, and the SB8200 that I bought 2 days later, and replace them with the XFi router combo and not ever charge me some bullmess rental fee or just add a second IP to my exsisting hardware like they have to other customers; I will be switching ISPs and spreading the word of my experiences to all the homeowners in my area I work with while I’m out working helping them file insurance claims.

They are phasing it out but I'm going to escalate your issue to the Comcast corporate employees that are available to these boards. We've seen cases here where they have been able to get this accomplished for customers even when it is not listed in their rate cards, YMMV. You should get a reply here in your topic. Good luck !
