Extending WiFi to shed.

I need WiFi to extend to a shed that’s about 20 feet from my house but opposite side of the house from where my Xfinity modem is. I already have one pod to extend WiFi to the rear of the house but it doesn’t quite cover the whole shed.

I only need WiFi signal to connect a camera and a WiFi enabled plug, nothing is too demanding bandwidth wise. I just need to check on my chicken camera and control an exhaust fan!

Can I plug a Pod into an outlet on the interior of the shed? The shed is semi finished but not climate controlled.

@Sefi, ensuring you have a wireless connection is a top priority in the digital world we live in today. You can definitely try to connect an xFi Pod in order to extend the signal to your shed and cover the camera and plug needs you referenced. Do you already have another pod in your possession?

Hi Marcus,

Thanks for the response.

I do currently have two Pods helping provide WiFi to the back of the house. I was going to see if one will do if I move the other to the shed.

Otherwise, I’d look into purchasing a third Pod.

@Sefi, ahh, well we certainly want to ensure that you are able to access your services without concern. What I would say is that moving one of the pods may negatively impact your signal strength in the area it previously covered. That said, you can certainly try to move one to another location and test if everything is working for you after doing so.
