Extending service to garage
We have a small house. Wi-Fi reception within the house is okay. But my home office is it a separate detached garage about 25 feet from the house. On a good day, the Wi-Fi works fine, but it often stumbles during zoom calls, or when the door is closed. At this point we have just the one router. What a mesh system or an XFI pod help, and if so how do I get one? I once tried a signal booster that I bought at Best Buy, but it didn't help much if at all. Thank you.

Let's try a simple solution first - where is the gateway in relation to the garage? If your gateway is in one end of your home, you might try to move it closer to a more central location to help with the reception in your garage, as long as it doesn't impact signal in the rest of your home, of course.
You can get more powerful external WiFi adapters for your garage computer as well, to help with the reception. Something like this might work.
Also, a mesh system like the xFi Pods are subject to similar restraints. They work best when arranged in a "star" layout where your gateway is at the center and the pods radiate outwards like points on a star or spokes on a wheel, that way your entire house can be blanketed with coverage with no crosstalk or inteference between pods. If you can't physically move your gateway closer to the garage a Pod installed along the signal route might help.
They can be bought from Comcast directly either online or at the Comcast stores.
