Excessive Modem/Router fan noise

Just got a CGM4140COM Modem/Router and it's making a lot of fan noise.

Is there a solution for this?

A common issue. Get it swapped out for another.

It worked! Swapped my older black CGM4140COM gateway for a newer white CGM4331COM gateway, and the new one is SILENT.
