Ethernet Switch that works with XB8

Hello,

I recently purchased a new XB8 modem and found that is does not work with my current Netgear GS305 ethernet switch.  Is there a different version you recommend that works with the XB8?

Thank you for your time.

Did you ever find a fix for this or a small switch that does work with the XB8? I have the same issue, XB8 modem/router trying to get my new unmanaged Netgear GS305v3 ethernet switch to work. Uplink port on switch lights up, looks good, but the 4 ethernet ports not live. Tried all 4 ports on the XB8, tried different cables. Do not see anything to configure for it in modem admin., such as a way to bump up # of devices per port. Thanks for your help on this - Bob W

Well the xb8 delegates all available dhcp ips by default, so if your switch has a static ip, no go, but just adjust your switch to obtain a ip automatically, or adjust the xb8 dhcp ip section to make room for it, or you might notice the subnets are different, 10.0.0.# vs 192.168.1.x, adjust accordingly...

@Jlavaseur Thanks, it is an unmanaged switch.
